Demonstration of how to locate vehicle using Beacon

This gives you an idea how Beacon system can be used to quickly see information visually and also get some basic details on click of mouse. For detailed description of controls and explanation see under the map below

Of course in actual practice your vehicle location is accessible only by you after you log in. No one else can see your vehicle. For registered users more details like trace, speed analysis, reports and track deviations etc. are also available through easy to use and navigate menus. Fleet owners and operators can view all their vehicles at a go or view them selectively or in groups. You can also monitor the position from multiple terminals at the same time.

All the action items have context sensitive help text enabled for ease of use and reference for registered users

Understanding Demo View

The demonstration map shows location of tracked vehicle by a marker in the middle of the map. If you click on the red call-out marker you will get further details like speed, time etc. of the demo vehicle.

Zoom Control

You can use the controls on the left top to zoom out and see bigger area of the map.

Pan control

You can pan (move sideways) the map in view by dragging map with your mouse.

Move/Park

If the call out is indicating "M" in the center it means that the vehicle is moving and a "P" indicates that it is at rest or parked at this moment.

Speed

A mouse click on the vehicle locator / call-out will reveal the speed at which the vehicle is traveling.

Map overview

The bottom left corner is showing overview of the area covered by the map on display and you can drag the shaded window there to quickly pan larger distance of geographical regions.

View mode

You can switch to satellite or hybrid view using the buttons on the top right of the map.
